Everyone is telling me that AT&T is not much better than Verizon. People are saying Straight Talk is $45 per phone w/ no contracts w/ unlimited text. I need to know more about Straight Talk but I am sure that my husband is still going to go with AT&T anyways.

Anyone know more about Straight Talk?

I never tried it, but I heard it runs off of the Verizon network.

I was told all you have to do is buy the phone which could be anywhere from about $40 - $150. Then buy a $45 card which lasts 30 days.

That is how it works, you pay as you go and refill every month.

Well, Greg and I both have Straight Talk now and it works just fine for us. Everything unlimited for 30 days for $45 a month per phone. The only downside to Straight Talk is that the Mobile Web isn't all that great (especially if you love getting on the internet on your phone) but it doesn't bother me since I couldn't do anything on my Verizon phone in the first place other than check my FaceBook comments.

I wish I can give you my personal advice KristyPD if "Straight Talk" or "AT&T" is the best, but unfortunately, I live in Canada, sorry :(

Coverage with Straight Talk may vary as it doesn't roam off of other carriers like Sprint or Verizon does.

Works fine for me! (:
I just needed the unlimited texting. Then when we have our own place I will need it for calling and scheduling appointments and what-not. I would prefer a better phone but I can manage with the one I have!

I have straight talk and I love it compared to Cricket better coverage and yes they are off of verizen and AT&T because i had to get a better phone and they enter codes and stuff along with dialing either *22890 or *22891
or something like that. So i recommend Straight talk if u use ur Credit card or debit card and put it on ur account it will deduct the amount every month which is nice... If there is anything else u guys wanna know let me know..
